In high school, one of the main things I remember about Home Economics, and Mrs. Limmer, is her warning us about the self clean latch on the oven. She drilled it into us that if we latched that shut and there was something in the oven, only the fire department would be able to unlatch it and that we would be in a lot of trouble!!!!
That was 10+ years ago, and until last night…I had NEVER turned that latch! I was feeling a bit rebellious. And then scared! …..And then SMOKED OUT OF MY MIND!
I’m assuming that ovens have come a long way since I was in high school; I was actually able to stop the self clean and UNLOCK the latch without having to call the fire department!!!!
(oh, and incase you’re wondering….I clean my oven, I’ve just never let it clean itself!!!!)
