Church this morning....
This morning in church we learned that a Marine, from our church, died in Afghanistan yesterday. Our church is very small (about 100 or so). From my understanding, the Marine had a wife and a child(ren). He was not allowed to say who it is due to the fact that it has not been released yet. I would just ask that you would say a prayer for his family, as well as our church family.
The service this morning was very good. It was on the Parable of the Prodigal Son. (Luke 15:11-32). The preacher talked about how God waits for us. And that when you have your "a-ha" moment....you have to choose to take action. Repent and return to the Lord to be reconciled with Him.
One of the missionaries (Paula Hampt) sang a song and it was titled "God Ran". In it she sings about how the only time she saw God running is when he ran to her and welcomed her back into his arms and told her that he still loved her. It was very very emotional. She has a very beautiful voice and we were blessed to hear this song twice today! (One time before the service and then again after!) I hope she will sing it again! (And again!) :)

It sounds like you really have good messages at the church you are going to.
That is sad about the Marine that died.
