"Date Night"

So tonight is date night! It is very exciting for Zach and to be able to have some adult time alone without the kids. The base chapel that we attend does a date night for married couples twice a month. We take our kids to the Child Development Center from 6-11:30pm, and then Zach and I go to the Chapel at 6:45 for a short devotional on how to make our marriage better! Right now we are watching a series of videos of a Christian comedian on marriage! It's called "Laughing Your Way to a Better Marriage" and his name is Mark Gorgon. They are really good! The boys also enjoy going to the Youth Center because they have all kinds of things there for them to do including a "Dance Dance Revolution" game (that doesn't take money!!) I think it is so good for Zach and I to have the chance to do this because it really brings us closer together. In the beginning of our marriage, we never took time for ourselves and never went out. It's so nice that we have the opportunity to now! So for our date, I decided I wanted to go to Sonic and get a "coke" (obviously a Dr. Pepper!) or to Starbucks for some coffee and just talk. Zach wants to go bowling! Maybe we'll have time for both! So it's now time for me to start getting ready....a girl needs to look nice on "date night!" Well, I'm not getting dressed up to go bowling, but my hair and makeup will be nice! :) Maybe I can get Zach to pose for a picture, and if so...I'll post it later on tonight!
